This year's most-viewed article was none other than ChatGPT, the AI chatbot that has taken the world by storm. With a staggering 49,490,406 pageviews, it's clear that people are eager to learn more about this revolutionary technology and its potential implications.

However, it's not all about AI. The annual list of "Deaths in 2023" remained a popular entry, garnering 42,666,860 views. This enduring interest demonstrates the human desire to remember and honor those who have left an impact on our world.



Sports also played a significant role in driving user engagement. The "2023 Cricket World Cup" secured the third spot with 38,171,653 views, highlighting the global passion for this sport. Cricket's popularity was further solidified by the "Indian Premier League" ranking at number four with 32,012,810 views.

But it wasn't all serious news and major events. Cultural phenomena like "Barbenheimer" also captured the public's imagination. This mid-2023 trend received extensive coverage on Wikipedia, reflecting its impact on the online landscape.



The list also reveals the enduring influence of Taylor Swift. Her "Eras Tour" warranted a detailed 5,500-word article, signifying the immense popularity of this musical icon.

Sadly, the year also saw the passing of notable figures like Matthew Perry of "Friends" fame and Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of music legend Elvis Presley. Their Wikipedia pages served as a tribute to their lives and legacies.



This data from Wikipedia offers valuable insights into the trends and interests that shaped the digital world in 2023.
