Elon Musk Sues OpenAI, Accusing Them of Prioritizing Profit Over Humanity in Pursuit of AI

In a lawsuit filed on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, Elon Musk ignited a firestorm in the world of artificial intelligence (AI) by suing OpenAI, the research lab he co-founded in 2015. The lawsuit alleges that OpenAI, under the leadership of CEO Sam Altman, has strayed from its original mission of developing beneficial AI for humanity and instead prioritized profit through its partnership with Microsoft.



A Breach of Trust? From Non-Profit to Profit-Driven

Musk, known for his ventures in electric vehicles (Tesla) and space exploration (SpaceX), claims that OpenAI was established as a non-profit organization with the core principle of open-source technology development for the greater good.
