Taking Control of Your Memories: AI on Mute

Sometimes, the AI-generated titles for your memories can be a miss. Google Photos is giving you the reins with a new toggle switch. You'll be able to disable these suggestions entirely, ensuring your memories are titled exactly how you want them.



Storage Saver on the Go: Free Up Space for More Memories

Currently, the "Storage saver" feature, which reduces photo quality to free up cloud storage space, is only available on desktops. But rejoice, Android users! The update brings Storage Saver to your mobile devices, allowing you to easily convert existing photos to a lower format and reclaim precious storage space for capturing new moments.


Availability and What to Expect

While these features are still under development, their presence in the latest Google Photos code hints at an upcoming release. The ability to disable AI-generated memory titles might arrive sooner, as Google's support page has already been updated with relevant information.
