Telegram, the popular messaging app boasting over 900 million monthly active users, just dropped a massive update packed with 15 new features! Let's dive into the details and see how these changes will enhance your Telegram experience.



1. Deep Dive into Your Profile & Discover New Channels

The update introduces a "My Profile" section where you can finally view your profile as others see it. You can also add your birthday for a festive touch on that special day. Speaking of celebrations, Telegram will now remind you about your contacts' birthdays with a handy notification banner.

Looking to expand your content horizons? The new "Channels" tab in search curates recommended channels based on your existing subscriptions, making it easier to discover new creators and news sources. Channel owners can also showcase their channel directly on their profile page, complete with a glimpse of the latest post.




2. Granular Control Over Reactions & Moderation

Telegram is giving admins more control over group chats. The "Mass Moderation" feature allows admins to perform multiple actions like reporting, deleting, or banning users in one go, saving them precious time. Channel admins can also limit the number of reaction types per message, keeping things tidy and focused.

For those who enjoy expressing themselves with reactions, there's good news too! You'll now receive notifications when someone reacts to your messages in chats or Stories (if you're a Premium user).





3. Enhanced Location Sharing & Security Features

Sharing your location with friends and family just got more flexible. You can now choose the duration of location sharing, from a quick 15 minutes to indefinitely. This can be particularly useful for keeping track of someone's journey or letting them know you've arrived at a designated spot.

On the security front, Telegram now displays the profile picture of the user who forwarded a message, giving you more context about the information's origin.



4. Exclusive Perks for Premium Users

Telegram Premium subscribers get a few exclusive goodies in this update. You can now include animated and custom emojis in polls, adding a touch of fun and personality. Feeling incognito? The "View Stories Anonymously" feature lets you browse stories without leaving a trace. And if you're curious about Telegram's ad ecosystem, you can use the "Unhide Ads" option to see how your own ads appear within the app.
