Google Chrome is ending support for Android Nougat, specifically Android 7.0 and 7.1. This means users with older Android phones from over five years ago will lose Chrome support.

Google Chrome 120 will be the last version of Chrome to support Android Nougat. This means that users with Android 7.0 and 7.1 will no longer receive Chrome updates. Google has confirmed that Chrome 119 will inform users running Android Nougat on their devices about the end of support and tell them to upgrade their operating system to a newer version of Android.



Implications for users
If you are still using Android Nougat, it is recommended that you upgrade to a newer version of Android or switch to a different browser that still has support for Android Nougat. Running an older version of Chrome can lead to security risks, compatibility issues, and many other problems. You will also no longer receive any new features or improvements to the browser.
