WhatsApp Introduces a New Voice Chat Feature for Large Groups

WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging app, is rolling out a new voice chat feature that is designed to be less disruptive than a group call. The new feature, which is similar to features on Discord, Telegram, and Slack, allows users to join a voice chat by tapping on an in-chat bubble. Participants can also send text messages while the voice chat is taking place. The new voice chat feature is end-to-end encrypted and can be joined by up to 32 participants.



The new voice chat feature is a welcome addition to WhatsApp, as it will make it easier for users to communicate with large groups of people. The feature is also less disruptive than a group call, as users can choose to join or not join the voice chat.

    WhatsApp could further improve the new voice chat feature by adding the abillity to share screen and documets. The company could also add more controls for managig voice chat , such as the ability to mute idividual participants.
